Question about the blown plug problem

the truck I bought last week had that problem about a year and a half ago.... he said he was cruising at about 20mph when it happened.... he said at the time he didnt have any mods either (obviously or warranty wouldnt have covered it)

anyway, he said that the Ford dealer replaced the entire motor.. and gave him a new 36,000/3 yr warranty on the new motor... all the original warranty is now expired but supposidly the new motor still has about 16k miles on the warranty (but the truck now has mods)

anyway, my question is... is there a way I can call Ford and get some kind of info on exactly what they replaced and how much warranty there really is on it... he said he will bring me the paperwork that he has... but was just sorta curious...

also, when this sort of thing happens, does Ford know what the problem was....?? i mean, when they replaced the engine or whatever... do they know how to "prevent" it from happening again to the 2nd motor? or might it just happen again??
