SVT St. Louis vs. SVT Chicago

This is just an idea that me (Andrew, St. Louis) and Hank (hj16, Chicago) came up with when we were hanging out together. Tell us what you think.

What?
Day long competition for bragging rights of fastest SVT city in the Midwest

Where?
Hank and I are thinking either US41 or Cordova. These seem to be the most likely dragstrips, but Gateway is also a place to hold it.

How Many Cars?
We think that 20 versus 20 would be the minimum, but the more the merrier.

When?
Next year obviously. Maybe sometime in Late May/Early June. Open to suggestions.

What about the competition?
Chicago SVTs versus St. Louis SVTs

03/04 Cobras
96-01 Cobras
93-95 Cobras
93-95 Lightnings
99-04 Lightnings
SVT Contours
SVT Focus’

On the Line: Bragging rights and maybe some prizes

Obviously this is in the extreme early stages of development, we are just looking for suggestions/ideas. And to check for interest.

From the looks of the posts on SVTPerformance, it'll be bracket racing.

 

Hi guys, this is Hank, the other person in the big post. If you guys wouldn't mind, could you register on SVTperf. and reply in the thread? It'd make it a lot easier to keep track of the interest.

We haven't decided whether it'll be heads up or bracket racing. But we have plenty of time to decide.

Please, if you know of any local Lightning clubs (93-95 too) could you provide them a link to this? I'd like for the Lightning group to be pretty big.

Hey guys, i thought this would spark more interest from you L's. If you havent checked on SVTP, ill give you an update. A date and track will be set by Jan of 04. We'd like to get as many L's as possible from MO and IL. Let me know if you have any questions.
