Georgia-

I'm with ya except for that Oprah part. That's cruel and unusual punishment.

Hmmm, lets see.

WRX Wagon
3220 lbs / 227 HP = 14.19 lbs/HP
3220 lbs / 217 ft-lbs = 14.84 lbs/ft-lbs

2001+ Gen II Lightning
4792 lbs / 380 HP = 12.61 lbs/HP
4792 lbs / 450 ft-lbs = 10.65 lbs/ft-lbs

On the WRX, put a Ric Gillis bleeder valve in the wastegate actuation line.($50?) Dial in an additional 4 lbs of boost, assume 6 HP/lb-boost (conservative) and you get:

3220 lbs / 251 HP = 12.83 lbs/HP

You're starting to get into Lightning range for $50! That is the fun thing about turbos, you can up the boost for next to nothing. Just bleed off the wastegate actuator signal.

Same $50 will get you a used 4-6lb pulley on the Lightning and it's out in front again.

kobiashi:

Maybe I was too harsh...so instead of being forced to watch Oprah...

How about being a guest on the Jerry Springer show?

or

Being forced to wear a T-shirt labeled "I love Chevy" for 2 days?

Sharpshooter, I give you marks - any guy that has the ***** to admit the defeat deserves some respect.

He11, just practicing my launches the heart beat picks up a few 100 a minute and I still light them up on occassion trying to feather her out of the hole. I can imagine the adrenalin during an actual race, I may be writing the same message (hope not, but you never know).

Have a good one, man!

He wasn't stock. A stock WRX sedan or wagon runs mid to high 14's stock. Now if it happened to be something like my STi he would have walked your stock L much worse. No reason to hang your head. Your punishment is to buy mods and go faster.
