about to change oil

How much oil does she take? Bare with me.

she who? if "she" does "bare" it, take pics and show us..



btw, lightnings take 6 quarts of oil.

approx 5.5 quarts....just buy 6 and you'll be good......... JR

I do half a quart in the filter and the other 5.5 in the motor. Semper Fi.

SIX QUARTS total! When you do the oil change be sure to fill the new filter full with some of that 6 quarts of oil prior to screwing it on. ----Note, the oil dipstick on your L is very inaccurate.---- Do not go by it!
Oh, be sure old oil filter gasket comes off with old filter AND careful not to overtighten the oil pan plug as it strips quite easily!

Hey, if it has been a few thousand miles since last fuel filter change, it is very important that you change your gas line filter!

6 qts. Like someone said, don't forget about fuel filter. I change mine around each 10,000 miles.
