bell tech 3/4 drop questions?
I have a 01 lightning. I have a couple questions on the bell tech kit. Would I need to get a c-notch on the 3/4 drop? Since the lightning is already lowered factory will I get the full 3/4 drop? Anything else I should know about the bell tech kits?
Thanks
Eric

The Bell Tech kits are very good. You DO NOT need a C-notch. That is only if you want the frame to rub the ground. As far as how low it would be, I'd have to say that it would be as low as a regular F-150 with the same lowering kit. My brother has the bell tech springs on his 01 Lightning and it is LOOOOWWWW. The front air dam is about 4 inches above the ground and it looks killer. Hope this helps.

A C-Notch is still a good idea to get. I havent installed one yet but I probably will in the next year. I have the Western chasis 3/4 kit... I had the BellTech kit on my last truck. The suspension will bottom out over speed bumps if your not careful. I just creep over them for now... but the extra travel would be nice.
Just make sure whoever installs it knows how to properly cut a frame... you could be real sorry if they mess it up.

Only use a plasma cutter of air grinder... never a torch.
A C-notch is not always for laying frame... with a 3/4 drop you will have less than an 1" of travel between the bumperstop and axle in the rear. A C-notch will solve this problem. I'm running a 4/4 drop and have alot of bottoming out issues.
