Metco Idler/Upper Pulley Install - Need Help!!!

Just installed (with I8ACAMARO, well he did most of the work, true L friend) the Metco Idler and a 2# upper pulley.

Here's the problem, after putting everything back on the vacuum tube does not fit into the Air Intake.

We determined that the JDM spacer is playing a role into the problem (not to say there's anything wrong with the spacer, it's GREAT and I love it). But there seems to be a gap and we can not install the vacuum tube.

Anyone have any ideas on a proper fit, we were thinking perhaps heating the tube and bending it to fit, or perhaps getting a flex hose to replace the vacuum tube.

Any ideas???

Pull the vac tube ou t of the rubber connection about 1 inch, at the top of the blower. IT is a tight fit, but will work. I have same combo you do.

I had the same problem with my set-up..It will fit with enough wiggling...Its hard to explain it but keep trying, try to hook up the intake boot one first, then the one on the plenum....sorry I couldnt be more specific.

I just stumbled on to this Picture while searching,
Well I'll be dammed, another South Florida Pulley Headquarter
take off. Why didn't you just buy one from my Buddy (Terry),
THE GUY THAT INVENTED IT, BUILT IT, AND MARKETED IT.
My SFPH Pulleys have been flawless since early 02 when I installed mine, and they have the CORRECT way to NOT get slippage, without putting extra and obvious stress on the S.C
Snout, Bearing, etc.....
