http://www.srt10forum.com Somebody posted it on this board. It's probably going to be the main SRT10 forum.

Two things guys, the owner called out the Lightning while sitting in the staging lanes, and he did say he missed 2nd gear. All that aside, the video did just what it was suppose to do, humillate the SRT-10 Ram, and the narration is priceless. Funny, YES!, accurate, NO! but still a very funny video.

So you are saying that the video is not accurate? That the srt-10 drivers out there will hit every gear every time they race with a perfect launch? I know I will hit every gear with my L. I just stomp the loud pedal and watch his headlights get smaller and smaller. I have been yelling this for months now. I wanna see the average joe click off a 12 second run with a 1.7 60 foot or better. That didn't happen.

OH, he was racing and thats why he more than likely missed 2nd, trying to hard. The L ran a 12.52, The Ram, well it just ran. The video is real, the race was real, but to the fortune of Lightning Owners, the Ram 10 sucked. A Priceless Video Indeed, and one they will be trying to overcome forever

I'm thinking those clutches are going to be the downfall of the SRT-10.
Launching that truck at 3000rpms? that clutch will go up in smoke after about 10 launches.!!!
I think it is the same clutch as in the viper, Extremely strong, but not for a 5100lb truck.
This is the first of many video's of the races between dodge and ford. I'm certain that it will go back and forth.
On a hot humid day, dodge has the advantage.
On all other days, it up to the drivers (not to miss a gear)
I'll take the hurry up and wait path. until I line up against one at the track.
But for starters. this is the BEST video thus far.

Dodge Motors
Hemi motors seem to come apart quite often i guess. One of my customers had his blow at 800 miles. Put another new engine in and that lasted for another 2000 miles, kaboom. They actually offered him a new truck, but instead he had them drop another motor, got a new set of wheels for nothings, some bug defelctors, vent shades, and won't have to pay for any maintenence for basically as long as he owns the truck. Yes it was in writing , but the dealer asked him in return not to go around trashing dodge and their hemi line.
Sounds fair to me.

I was reading some posts at SRT-10 forums.com. 9 seconds has a post in performance modifications that he had a leaking rear transmission seal on his truck. I’m not a mechanic but that doesn’t sounds to good. Like others have said with the clutch, the transmission on SRT-10 may not be able to handle all the HP/Torque and weight.

Sometimes just sticking a big motor in a vehicle to make it go fast doesnt work so well.I get the feeling this is just the beggining of transmission, clutch issues in this thing. they should have stuck with a S/C hemi and i think they would have litterally sold TWICE the amount of trucks and their profit margin would have been better even with a $6k reduced window sticker. They are idiots thinking that you can take a cluth from a 3000 lb car and stick it in a 5000 pound truck and make it work!!
Typical simple minded dodge fools.
Also explains why there is no 7/70 warrantee on it.They knew beforehand what was gonna happen.
For those of you who think ford is going with a 6 speed,You are in for a big surprise.I would NEVER spend 40k and have to shift something manually other than my tow trucks An automatic with paddle shift would be the best!! probally the way it will come.
