2 pound pulley no chip

2 pound pulley no chip

have an 02 can I run a 2# pulley without a chip?
I didn't want to mess with anything other than that
along with an airfilter, With no problems?
Just to get a little more out of her

mosty so I can change the belts!

You can safely run a 2# pulley w/o a chip. Many people (including myself) run a 4# without a chip.

2lb lower

ive ran 2lb lower with no chip for a year now no problems

Yep, a 2lb with no chip is ok. Your a/f will still be plenty safe.

I ran a 4# for 6,000 miles w/no chip. No problems and the plugs showed an ever so slightly lean condition. Probably would have been cured with 1 range colder plug.

I gotta tell you though. A 4#, chip & filter will make you do this...

thanks everyone for letting me know it is ok to do that.
the ablity to change the belts alone is worth the change plus a little more power wont hurt

If you want to change the belt, get a 4#'r and a chip or Predator. You don't need to change the belt with a 2#. I even know one guy that's using his stock belt with a 4# lower. I wouldn't reccomend the 4# with no chip, and most of the tuners would say the same thing.
