Talking Bought me a beater…

I pick it up tomorrow, it’s a 1986 Dodge 600SE, 4 cyc, 2.2L I believe. It has 48,000 miles on it. An older gentlemen owned it and just drove it around town. It runs great, seems strong on the turnpike, brakes and everything feel real good, new exhaust but the typical rust underneath.

Hopefully it will be a good beater car for only $550. Anybody know anything about these cars as far as common problems?

Just nice having a beater so I don’t have to drive the Lightning in the snow and salt. It will be even better now because tomorrow I pick up my Lighting from the body shop. Went in Tuesday to have a small ding on the fender repaired as well as some light scratches in the clearcoat in the hood and a run in the paint on the tailgate. It’s all be covered under warranty…

The thing that really sucks is I won’t be able to Zaino it for at least 30 days…

good choice in buying a beater!!! i bought my beater last november! i've put about 19,000 miles on it.

i bought an 87 mustang 2.3L 4 cyl with 40,776 miles...thing pulls like a MOTHER on the highway! red lights? forget it...no box truck or 18 wheeler has a chance against me! (so long as they are carrying a full load)...it was the smartest investment i've made since the Lightning.
