Anyone find a good cheap fix for the rubbing Rancho Bars ?

Ok three layers of really thick rubber Gasket Material,
this is not crappy stuff either, it lasted all of 50 miles,
and now the bars are clunking like a Beach again )@%$@(%$@$@$@$@$@$

Fortunatly, the amount of pressure of the exhuast against
the actual bar is so termendous that it's working in my favor,
and I only get the clunking on left turns (I think it is), and when
I get off it fast. Like just now on the way home from lunch, hehehe
ya I did a small version launch, burnt through 1st 2nd 3rd
and only kept it maybe 1/2 throttle cause I was up @11 lbs
of boost and don't want to push it in 22 degree weather.
Did warm the tires up a bit though

So anyway under normal conditions the exhuast is pressed so hard against the bar that it just scraps away and digs in, but doesn't clunk.

How can I fix this myself ???
BTW
I had to use a nice size crow bar just to get enough pressure
off it to put that rubber in there so I do have to raise the Tail Pipes a decent amount. I'm thinking raise the truck up on a floor jack, then maybe put a 4x4 under the exhuast and let some pressure down SLOWLY to see if that will do it ???? ANY SUGESTIONS ???

1. Custom bent tailpipes or...

2. Make custom axle brackets with lower attachment points.

I'm sure Vinnie can set you up with one or the other....

....for a ridiculous price ofcourse.

I vote for lowering the timing a few degrees.

OK I DESERVED THAT

I get no respect at all, I mean as a child, my ***** was so small,
my Mother thought I was a girl, called me Barbie, and dressed me
in dresses for like 15 years.

It wasn't until I told her where the stains on the ceiling were coming from, that she realized I was BOBBY

I guess I could redrill the brackets into the chassis in a diff
space, but I'm afraid I'll never see again

Plus I don't know if it'll give me enough ???

Dam I wish I had a lift so I could get under there and survey the situation (%)@%$#(@#(@%$#

BTW
Rob, V's still mad at me for showing his burnt out Rotor's

Best thing to do is go with some new tail pipes. Looks like you got some rusty pipes off a Gremlin in that picture.

cut off that loop that the clamp goes through. a dremel will do the trick. then loosen the clamp for the tip and rotate it and scoot it out of the way, then retighten.

do what i did...

turn it up past 20, and you won't hear a thing!

it's really good on long road trips with girlfriends or kids.. it kinda drowns them out..
it works on other peoples car horns, and helps check peoples car alarms by seeing if they work as you drive by!
