SC rotors

sooooo ahhhh I am still confused (normal state)
This flaking, is it seen more on the early eaton (99) or is it just typical of Eaton.
Is there a good fix? How much$?
Where do I get the graphite coating?
How about just bead blasting the rest of it off and running it?
Huh, Huh, Huh, Whatcha think guys.

Clone,
I would imagine because the extra heat is usually caused
by overspinning it, we automatically blame the big pulleys,
I guess thats not fair although it usually does play a big part.
In your case something else must have caused major heat
in your S/C ??? Do you take that Bad Boy out to the Salt Fields
OR SOMETHING ????
Dang all that with just 2lbs of Pulley has got to make you wonder where all the heat is coming from ???
Did you ever figure it out ???

My second 99 had the intercooler leak..appproximately 2 quarts of coolant leaked into the intake...When it was pulled to replace with the Factory fix...
It had teflon and oil...made a very thick paste....all over the Charge Air Cooler...
It was thick..wipe you finger along the cooling it would stack up on your fingertip...
As far as the leak contributing to the gunk and the teflon peeling..I could only guess....
As far as the oil hitting the rottors at high RPM..I can have a good guess and say it bombards the surface of the rotors enough to cause the teflon damage....
And NO..the truck never had a pulley on it..at that time..There were NO pullies yet.....It was so bad that Ford Installed a Factory Crate Engine at 32000 miles....
I pulled and cleaned my 01's supercharger a while back..and with 69000 miles on it..there was No..peeling....none...
I would guess Ford has a better coating....
Possibly the coolant and the oil...and any corrosive crankcase gases..cause the errosion of the teflon integrity...
Maybe..Perhaps..Possibly....could be....Fer sure..

You know it's funny because it does seems like my 02 Rotors are coated with something differant than V's 01 Rotors, the microscopic amount of teflon that is left on V's was clearly more of a black color, where mine is like a graphite color.
Who knows maybe it is a rotor prob and not a overheating problem (although there is no doubt overspinning the Eaton does create extra heat)
You know it may just come down to all the rotors that we have seen flake DID'NT HAVE ENOUGH TIMING
