Question Boost gauge install ????

Just ordered my gauge and pod from Summit Saturday and will be installing this week.

Question is...is there any reason to "T" into the stock gauge? Why not just get a straight connector and connect the boost line from the stock gauge straight into the new gauge? All teeing into the stock gauge is going to do is mess up it's calibration since it goes so far past 10# anyways

Who is running both aftermarket and stock gauge vs. disabling the stock one altogether?

Thx

if you dont T it then you'll have a dead gauge... but keeping the old one will not effect the accuracy... pressure will build up the extra volume from the stock gauge will not do anything the pressure in the line is X psi reguardless of how much hosing you have.... unless you have like 50000 feet of it... but even then there would only be a lag in the responce. Anyways the amount of air that is passed by the port that leads to the extra expansion would make no noticable difference

My stock gauge is not connected... Why would you want it? Any predictions ao how much boost you will have?

I tee'd off the branch under the dash, super easy with the right tee, both gauges work perfect, as for performance decline one versus the other, there has been zero negetave effects with both gauges running, I just like the more accurate gauge to compare to the stocker. Good luck, Todd

Why not put the stock gauge at the 90 and the Autometer as a straight shot?

or using a "Y" instead of a "T" fitting?

The fittings cost ~ $2.00 for 2... sheesh
