Stage 8 bolts?
Copper gaskets?
Percy's?

If I get Percy's manifold, copper collecter and stage 8 bolts I should have no leaks. Or quit worring about it and use whats in the box.

Putting them on a Mustang is a serious PITA. Is it as bad on the L?

I had the Dynatech longtubes, high flow cats and single X pipe Magnaflow installed at REM. Paid $1200 for the longtubes, high flow cats an installation and $400 for the Magnaflow.

If memory serves me right the installation only took two to three hours and I have had zero problems. No leaks etc.

I am running a KB and I dropped from 17 to 16 lbs boost - just knowing that I am running more efficiently is good enough for me, but I don't have a before and after dyno to show results.

The sound alone is worth the investment, in my opinion, but again the efficiency is the name of the game.

D-Day

I have the JDM exhaust. I used the header gaskets included with the kit and they leaked. I also used the collector gaskets and they leaked. I went back to using the stock Ford metal gaskets for the header and no problems. I used Mr. Gasket copper gaskets for the collectors and they ended up leaking after time. I use Mr. Gasket Ultra seal part #5980 now and haven't had any problems since they were installed last summer.
BTW, Mine are the coated mild steel headers and they are rusting and so are the pipes...I don't drive my truck in the winter...

Cool headers

I have been running JDM full ss headers and exhaust for about a year. Love the sound, no problems.

Kooks, High flow cats, and the Silver Bullet.

Get stainless headers. I got the coated milder steel version and, after only about a year and a half, rust is starting to show through in spots. I'll have to do it over eventually.
