wierd idle

today i was waitin for my brother to get done work and notice my rpms were jumpin from a steady 700 down to high 300 and back up to 900

i thought the engine was about to shut down

it keeps a steady rpm when i give it gas but only goes up and down like this at idle

do i have to clean something out ?

i also hear a tick from the engine bay, i cant tell if it goes faster wit the rpms or not

i have a 99 wit no engine mods and 19k miles

Looking at the motor from the front. It is on the passenger side. It's the silver can looking thing that blots onto the inlet. ( on top of the blower.) Should see a black plug and wire loom coming from it. Unplug it, 8mm bolts, and some carb cleaner.

Done deal.
