To me this would be an important detail of how much his words mean. If he is a vendor...well then, who gives a crap what he thinks. I wouldn't associate with a guy like that anyway. But if he works for SCT, we are talking about a whole different matter.

Rocks

Thought I would try this again. It really isn't a trick question.

Come on guys. Turning this into a flame war just helps prove what measley point he had. If you let him spout his mouth on his own, he just proves what an *** he is all by himself.

I'm just gonna show him what I think of him with my wallet.

Brian,

How can you support this:

I don't want to tune lightnings, the owners are at best people I don't want to associate with. You see the ET in my little picture? That's a naturally aspirated 455 Olds motor, none of your sissy poweradders to go that fast. It is the worlds quickest and fastest stock blocked Olds powered, Olds bodied car in the entire world by almost 1 full second. How fast is your power adder lightning?

Please go away with your childish comparisons and ideas....

Jerry W.attempted a chip for me...I had a stock Lightning gain on me the last 1/8th

On the reburn It was for a CUX2 instead of a CUX 1 (went to JDM and never looked back)
So...I am probably one of the Lightning Owners he is talking about. In a couple of years he will probably be talking about Colbra Owners the same way.

I meant to say I don't necessarily support what he says, looks like I made a typo. You can tell by the sentence structure that "don't" was supposed to be in there (fixed now)

I bet he has his hands so full with Stangs he doesnt have the time or patience to try and figure out our motors.

Sour Grapes line for him and he will never get a cent from me!!

Sounds like a wonderful person to deal with though..LMAO

Jerry W is one of the three people who created Superchips Custom Tuning. He's an ex-Ford calibrator, and some of the old timers here may remember him as the person who made the "Inject-Tech" chips back in 99-00.

Jerry is THE tuner of ford EFI. He knows the code better then almost anyone, because he wrote it. Superchips Custom Tuning, SCT, is his company, along with a few partners...About this comment of his, its just not right to judge someone wholly on what was found on the freaking internet. I would trust Jerry to tune my truck more than anyone on the planet....

I think he's a consultant to SC on their new tuner. He also does some tuning on the side.

BTW, I wouldn't recommend thinking he's ignorant about tuning EECs, what he lacks in personality and patience, he makes up for in knowledge.

Thank You............I have been reading the threads over there the past few hours. I didn't register. I would rather not register there, just to voice my thoughts.

I'm registered here for that...LOL. So, here goes.

I read other posts by this fellow...not just the one where he lost his cool. I get the impression he is a bit passionate about what he does. He is correct in the statement that a "work around" on the MAS is not the PROPER way to tune a vehicle. It may work...but that don't make it right. Hell...I reattached a drive shaft to a u joint, with baling wire, out at the deer lease a few years ago. It worked, got me into town...but it sure won't be found in a tech manual.

Anyway...looks to me like he got ticked at the line of questioning and lost his cool. I wish I could say I never lost my cool. And truth of it is....all this happy horse ***** about how many H.P. each of the latest magic bullets will give on a dyno...does get silly. I can see where an old school racer may be a bit put out by it.

So, now I have to wait for this crap to blow over...so I can register there and maybe learn something new.
