iv had my truck for about 4 months now, and I have yet to wax it... some has to do with the weather... but im ready... im gonna spend like 8 hours one day soon and just totally detail it.... i wanna try and remove all the swirls (i have black) polish, and a few coats of wax.... then do the interior and engine....

iv heard of zaino, but thats about it.... is it really worth getting an expensive wax compared to mothers, maguires, etc?

so what steps do you do? i was looking at zaino site and they have like 15 differnt applicators, etc and didnt know which ones are worth it and not....

but i dont have to use zaino, actually somethign cheaper is even better... just wondering what methods to take...

thanks, sorry i know this has prolly been talked about before, but i searched and was pretty old... thought maybe someone has found something newer....
Here is the best advice I can give you:

www.autotopia.com

Equipment needed to keep a Black truck looking nice with little effort:

Porter Cable PC model # 7336 or 7224

at least two pads of each white and yellow (you can get these at
http://www.topoftheline.com/ )

At least a dozen microfiber towels a guy named Ranney that runs a commpany named Pak Shak has outstanding deals for Autopia members. Be sure to mention you're a member

Your choice of polish (I prefer Meguiars DACP)

A quality sealant (Meguiars #20 is a good choice)

And a quality carnuaba wax (S100 found at Harley Davidson stores)

The PC will do wonders and make it easy to apply the elbow grease and is very user friendly. I prefer to do the sealant and final wax by hand

Do a lot of searches on the Autopia forum and pay particular attention to what a member named Scottwax says. His details are phenomenal.

Good luck and definitely post picks when you are done.
