Can I see a tuner's resume?

I think it is fair to say that as Lightning owners, we rely heavily on the information and expert advice from the tuners that support this forum. Those tuners are, but not limited to Sal @PSP, John @JLP, JDM and others. I was wondering how those tuners gained their individual experience. If possible I would love to know or have them respond as to their personal resumes. We all love our trucks and buy many products from them and I hope I am not out of line asking this. I sincerely appreciate all the help they have given me personally regarding my truck ....but the question of how they got their experience has always been there. Thanks!

Do a search by their user names, starting with their first logs, and read the history from the beginning. Also, try calling them and talk to them. You can tell a lot about someone from how they answer questions to your individual needs. It is an important decision- do the research.

Good luck!

Pay them for thier time and I'm sure they will hang out and tell you there life story.
Until then call them on a specific item or search.

Here is what Ive read or seem to recall on some of the Tuners, you might be suprised.

Sal@PSP was a Tech at a Ford Dealer

JLP@JLP is/was a Mushroom farmer

Jim@JDM use to operate hotdog stands on the board walk in either NJ or NY

I dont claim this info to be exact, its just what Ive heard or read. If it was on the internet it has to be true, right

This is all the "experience" I need to see:

Profile For LightningTuner

And...

From: http://www.powersurgeperformance.net/about.html

I founded the National Lightning Owners Club, and ran it for over two years. The NLOC was, and still is the authority for Lightning information.

Aside from that, I am a Ford Technician by trade, certified in Engine Performance, EEC Diagnostics, Electrical repair and all aspects of automotive repair. I am a master fabricator, and have done many one-off custom vehicle builds.
And of course...

But we do have some mighty quick mushroom farmers and hotdog peddlers too! No slight to any of the vendors/tuners, they are all great choices and to each his own! This thread is cool - I'd love to hear more background info on everyone.

Who really cares if Jim and Johnny didn't start out as ford techs. They have a ton of experience now. Both have been performance car nuts for years.

I've been reading these boards for a while, just joined though. I'm going to buy from this guy. If you buy from JDM, seems like you will get along better on here.

peace,
Bubba

Ya and US Presidents were Peanut Farmers and Druggys
BIG DEAL

I think Johnny Jim Sal and our other Tuners have MORE
than proved themselves a thousand times over.
Pick one, based on what ever you want,
But Price Product and Service are what counts

This is JimIII here

Let me clear some things up since Ive know the man for 19 years.

First of he didnt operate some hot dog stands on the boardwalk he owned several restaruants, hotdog stands, and a good portion of stands at the seaside boardwalk, funtown pier. This was for about 5 years in the early 90's

He worked for with Ford and SVT in designing prototype parts and cars for 11 years... Building at the time the fastest Gen 1 Lightning in the country. The Lightnings you all drive today,..he had a part in that...see here....

http://www.teamjdm.com/id156.htm

In 1999 his contract was up and instead of resigning he opted to create what you now know as today JDM Engineering.

The rest explains it self with the most 10 sec trucks in the North American Continent. Countless hours of experienced tuning and high performance work. For more of what he has done check this out.....http://www.teamjdm.com/id148.htm

Hope this helps and clears somethings up figured if you couldnt hear it from the old man himself might as well be from me!

JimIII@JDM Jims son under Justins name
