What a difference Rob!!!

I just received my shipment from Coats Care yesterday. Can hardly wait to be able to try the Cheery wet wax on mine. How many coats did you put on? I heard that if you apply 2-3 coats, the finish is that much more deeper of a wet, glass look. Either way, I get my truck on Wednesday when I will try it. Then off to the dyno and the reinstall of the NOS system on Thursday.

Looks good Rob. I've heard other people like the Cherry Wet wax. Somebody asked about layering, but from what I have heard, Cherry Wet wax has some cleaners in it so it wouldn't be a good layering wax. Doing 2 or 3 coats is always beneficial though, as their may be some areas that might have been missed the first go round.

The pictures are hard to compare by as the Meguiars picture isn't on a sunny day like the Cherry Wet wax picture is (you can see the difference in the shadows of the trees and other areas). I've been using S100 wax, and it's been awesome. I have also used some Meguiars #26 with some good results and they have a new wax out now that's called NXT that is suppose to be pretty incredible. I've always been a believer in proper preparation as the secret to a good finish. There are a lot of quality waxes available and will give good results if you do the prep work. Which Meguiars were you using before?

It's time for Rob to stop modding the L and invest in a new camera.

Rob is never gonna get a nice camera. The cheapo one hides the swirl marks perfect.

How can you compare pics from a overcast day to a sunny day?

Dale, Turtle wax takes less effort, but use Zanio and you won't be doing it again in 30 days.

Thanks everyone,
and FYI, YES it's already dirty, and ready to be cleaned
again DAM BLACK *@$#!@#*!#!*#*@#$@*#$

Your also right that it's very hard to compare the pictures,
and the shadowing is diff, but this picture does give a real
good idea of the shine AND FINISH (even know the sun
was very low)

AND YES I'M THROWING GATOR THE BIRD, hehehehehehe

I have never tried Zaino, and will have to check it out,
is that one of those multi step deals ???
Clonetek your Beauty truly does have an amazing shine
and reflection to it

Anytime I've used a hard can wax, I've found it extremly
hard to get off, especially the hood, plus it seems my sides
always ended up with a film on them and had to be wiped
and rewiped over and over to get that film off. This Wet
Cherry Wax, there's something about that ""Wet Cherry""
name that makes it very sexy it truly goes on like butter,
and wipes off soo soo easy, I could not believe how easy,
I tested one area, and it was so easy to wipe off, that I
applied it to the entire truck (which I would never do)
Then wiped it off.
I swear from start to finish didn't take more than 15 minutes.

And yes your right again, my crappy camera does hide the swirl marks.
My paint does have MAJOR MAJOR swirling, and one area
where it looks sand blasted with tiny pin hole like marks.
I'm very pissed off about that considering I do not have one single
ding on my entire truck after two years of NY hell.
Has anyone ever tried a color wax, or is that BS ???

THANKS FOR THE SAMPLE DAVE, I LOVED IT

EDIT I hate when one line of the post is two miles across
the screen, some day someone got to teach me how to reply
with the same length sentences ???
