Track Tested The Apten Today

First let me say that it was a pleasure seeing Mike and Paul again today. And also meeting Dan today for the first time

Woke up this morning with the sun shining and a blue sky, that only means one thing...............

RACING!!!!!!!!!!!

So I took the 1 and a half hour drive down to south jersey to Atco to see what this Apten really has in it. It has already proved itself on the dyno, but I wanted real "seat time" at the track. It does indeed pull hard thru the entire 1/4 mile, screaming like Rob02 when he runs out of buds

Because of my fuel situation, 1/2 tank of 93, I did all my runs on the street side of my chip. Let me say that my best time previous was on my race side, with 104 race fuel. (Street side has 8 degree's LESS TIMING

Well, the track wasn't to my Hooiser's liking and all I could muster was a 1.7 60', but I was still able to EQUAL my best time. So all I can say is that a certain somebody in Selden NY better be
AFRAID.....
VERY AFRAID

and he better buy those 100 hp jets for his cute purple bottle too, along with some cat litter to soak up the oil........hehe

Also picked up a trophy tonight at the track, so all in all, It Was A Great Day, sure as hell beats working...........

I was at Atco for a while I was in the White L. Had to leave a little early only got 2 runs in. Got my best 60' though 1.995. Gonna do some Mods before I run again I think.

Also, I forgot to add.......

I killed the battery today. So when it was time to leave, dead battery. So I wandered around looking for a set of jumper cables, without much luck.

I stumbled across some brothers with a B/Gas Corvette that had a genarator and battery charger. They said they would jump my "car". When they came over to help push my truck over to where they where at, It became........Oh, its a Ford, WTF!!!!!

But it became REAL funny when I popped the hood and one of boyz spotted the Eaton. Then it became......."That ****** F'er has a blower on it"

Guess you had to be there, but I know some Chevy boyz that have a new found respect for those Ford Pickups now

I DONT SEE NO TIMES ???

That only means one thing, even with your test and tuning
YOUR STILL NOT FASTER THAN ME

Sounds like a Great Day Pal, thanks for calling and rubbing it in,
YOU BASTARD
So lets see, that means you ran an 11.9 on the street side,
VERY IMPRESSIVE INDEED
Still not enough, but still impressive. Thats what, a good 2/10th's - 3/10th's better than any other street Program ET's

My my, that is a nice improvement, way to go Gator

Ok so I play with the jets a little and maybe attempt ONE MORE
6lb pulley run. Ah what the hell, I'm willing to toss a Motor to shut you up ONCE AND FOR ALL

Had a good time as well. Great to finally meet you, Bruce.

I netted my new personal best so the day was good. And I got me one of those fancy trophies too.

You should have told him what you were running. That would have freaked him out even more.

Nice to meet you today. That's a nice 60' on F1s.

Let the modding begin.

Saw your truck while waiting in the lanes today, sorry I didn't get a chance to say howdy

Forgot to add........

I took the long way home from the track, while Mike and Paul took the shortcut. Well, where they got on the Turnpike, I was there. Lets just say, 3 Lightning on the Turnpike was FUN

What did you do to that Chevy driver Paul? Around Exit 10 when you where in the outside lane and was next to you?????
He must have chit, when another silver Lightning pulled up on the otherside of him.......

It was a Lightning sandwich and he was the meat (Dead meat that is)

Yeah, it was good to see you guys again, especially the beers at The Winner's Circle. I didn't set anypersonal bests. I probably would have but you guys knew the problems I was having. My 7.70 1/8 Mile @ 90 mph would have prolly been my 11. Oh well, always a brides maid...

Hey Gator, it was also good seeing you lay the smack down. That xx.xx @ xxx.xx mph you ran on the street side was cool. It seems like my truck is in every pic you took. I guess we know silver was the fastest today. It was funny seeing you on the turnpike on the way home. I mean this is after Mike and I stopped at the local Sunoco to put some 94 Ultra in

Swin74, get that filter/chip combo!

Edt: That Silverado was messing with me the whole way. The guy was cool though. Much better than the F250 with dirt bikes in the back or the Talon the was messing with us on the way down.
