First time at track last night...not good!

Get yourself some Big ash Hoosiers and some lakewoods.
Just warm them up and you're ready to go.
Last Sat. I went out to an 1/8 mile track here in Houston.
The best ET I got on F1's was an 8.90 @ 86MPH.
I went back the very next day w/ new Hoosiers and ran my first 7.99 in the 1/8.

THE LAUNCH
I diito the above, practice does make you better, so does a good track. Lower the tire pressure in your F-1's to 23-25 pounds for starters, skip the water box if possible, do a solid burnout to get em' sticky, stage and bring the truck up to about 800-900 rpm, just enough to "take the slack out" if you know what I mean, last yellow, off the brake on the gas at the same time. I've run upper 1.80's with F-1's using this techinique and mid 1.70's with Nitto DR's. Good luck, Todd

But don't feel bad Denny because I had a 15 sec 1/4 mile run on one of my runs the first time at the track. So like everyone said we just have to figure out which way is best for us and the track to launch these trucks. So good luck on your quest for lower numbers!
