Went to the track sunday for the first time with the truck.

First time with this truck and here is what I ran.

13.520@104.41 *with spare tire*
13.63@104.44 2.2 60 ft same as above
13.50@103.46 2.1 60 ft *no spare tire next 3 runs
13.61@104.94 2.2 60ft
13.72@104.10 2.3 60ft

I had 3/4 of a tank of gas in it. I wish I had half tank or less. It might have gone a little faster. I could not figure how to lanch this truck with Goodyear F1s. So I left off of idel

you'll get the hang of it, I've have taken my L to the track ounce and I found the best way to launch for me was basically at a idle. I hit low 1.9's on my 60fts but I also have a chip and pulley.

Nice numbers. I'm thinking that if I ever make it to the track, getting it to hook up with the F1's is going to be the biggest challenge. Definitely a low 13 or high 12 sec truck with better 60 Ft. times.

Thanks guys, I really have no clue what is done to this truck. I bought it used 7 months ago, and it had just a Borla cat back on it. all I did was add a drop in K&N panel filter and cut a hole into the bottom of the air box.

104 mph would put you at about a 13.2 on F1s and 12.9s - 13.0s on slicks with more preactice. Maybe even a little quicker at a really sticky track.

congrats. i know how you feel, the best 60' i could pull was a 2.2. the first and only time the truck has been to the track, i pulled a best of 13.4 @ 102.
oh and yes, i'm stock from the filter to the exhaust

i've been think'n about some slicks

whats the quickest anyones ran without moding the engine (pulley, chip, etc)
i'm going to try to the 12's b/f i put the pulley on.
i just ordered the ftvb, and i'll borrow some slicks or buy some b/f i go back next time.
later

I find lowering the air pressure on the F-1's to 25-27 is a big help,
some even go lower.

I also find a long low rpm smokey gets F-1's like liquid glue
(thats B/S about it not helping)

I still launch each and everytime off idle (w/ or wo/ slicks)
1.8/1.9 on F-1's / 1.6/1.7 on Hoosiers

Pratice and lower 60's will net you an easy 1/2-3/4 sec better ET

Congrats on the ET's
AND HAVE FUN getting them even better

I am impressed when ever someone tries to launch on tires other than slicks. Hell I had a learning curve with the Hoosiers and had to make suspension changes just to hook up. Nice runs!

I've gone 13.07 and I've seen someone post that they went 13.05 in a stock truck. Track prep and cold dry air play into it more than most people are willing to admit...or know.
