Question How do I know if I have the old or the new grab handles?

On Lotek's website they offer a pillar that keeps the stock grab handle. But they say it is for 2002.5 and up Lightnings. Mine was built on the 5th month of 2002. Can someone explain the differences so I could see if I have the newer style or old style? A picture of both would even be better

Thanks for any help!

I believe the old (up to early 2002) "Oh *****" handles were round. The later 2002 ones like mine (a May 2002 build) are rectangular.

I think the new style handles are square looking as opposed to a nice radius looking also. most of the trucks with the newer handles have a cubbie hole in the lower right hand side of dash a sunglass holder I think .
I have a 2002 with old stlye and my buddies 02 has newer and has cubbie hole and I don't
hope this helps if not I don't know

yes, the older style handles are round. they come more towards the rear of the truck, where the newer, more rectangular ones stick out away from the door. also, like said above, the newer 02 and up have the cubby hole. i love that little thing, great use of space that wasnt being used.

this is one(thanks for the pic, vinnie) thats the older style

and this is the one of the newer

hope this helps

We are making billet aluminum grab handles for the new style. They should be ready in a couple of weeks.

These guys are just down the road from me and I have yet to go get one of these from them. I`ve emailed them and they have replied to every question and seem like a good company to deal with.
Anyone get any of these pre-painted the light grey from them? Wondering how it matched and if they fit well. I dont own a lightning but would like a 2 pod unit in my reg F150 for a little more accurate reading with real gauges rather than the factory ones. I do more towing now and would like to monitor my pressure and temp a little better.
