Phenolic spacer install question

Phenolic spacer install question
Were you able to bend the EGR tube in a way to make it 'lift' up and reach the new position of the raised plenum after installing the spacer?
If so, any tips on which way to bend? Anything to be careful of? And do I need to disconnect anything but the EGR nut?
If it's not possible, what do I need to make it reach?
Thanks in advance!

it'll bend.
it might take some force though.
I was lucky, I did mine while it was on the engine stand, so I didn't have to work around the truck.
you might also consider loosening the EGR valve itself at the upper plenum (two 10mm bolts) and then just start the upper and lower large nuts on the egr tube with the egr valve itself, loose but still bolted up.
once you get the egr tube nuts started (not fully tightened down) then you can go back and tighten the egr and then tighten the tube nuts.
good luck.
