Make sure the baud rate on the program on your PC program matches the rate on the predator.

I had the same problem, once I changed it so they matched was fine.

Bob, I've checked all the baud rates on the predator, pc and software and im stil getting no communication

I thought it was my COM ports, so I bought a USB/Serial Port cable...so now I have the pre3dator plugged into a USB port, but now in the Xmodem software I'm not sure what COM port I should use because it doesnt give an option for USB.

I even went to a friends house and tried his computer to amek sure it wasnt mine, and it still didnt work...wow this is making my head hut....

Did the serial / usb cable come with a CD?

Mine did and I had to install a driver for it to work.

I struggled with mine for a few minutes but I got it resolved.

OK, got it!!!! It was going through COM port 3, so that's all done, damn that was a pain! So now my next question is...do you have to have a laptop to get the real time data off the predator? Because I can't get that data software to talk to the predator now...

Sorry, after reading that, I realized that I might have been a little excited and in a hurry when I wrote that, let me try again...

Getting the USB/Serial port cable solved my file transfer problems, once I figured out that it was using COM port 3, everything went perfectly.

Afterwards I was trying to use the Live Data software, called CMR_DAT. I thought you could data log, then afterwards upload the data to my computer then view it in the software above. Is this wrong? Do you have to be using the Predator with a laptop in the truck in order to get the Live data onto the computer? From the directions it sounds that way. Has anyone had any experience with this?
