to be honest, all of the wires are run neatly, and none can be seen with the seats back anyways. I went to great lengths to design the whole set up so that it would not hurt any interior trim peices. This whole system could come out in about 2 hours if I wanted. This is how I want it, as I'm not sure I even will keep it in the L.

P.S. I'd rather have neatly run exposed wires than the big spaghetti mess under the carpet
That is very true.

I don't have the measurements anymore off hand but I just measured how big I wanted to go and figured out how much volume I was going to need and thats it. I've had so many setups in my truck with different subs and the 5 10's is way way overkill in here but I did it just cause it would be different. Now that I'm getting older and don't care as much I'm going to build a really nice custom box with two 10" IDQ's and throw some nice clean power to them for a solid system.

The nice thing about the IDQ's over the JL's is that they require allot less air space, they handle just as much power, there allot cheaper, and they sound so much better in my own opinion. I used to eat breath and sleep JL audio for my car stereo stuff and I've had tons and tons of JL audio subs in many cars and for our trucks the IDQ's kick a$$! JL audio's are just used so much cause of the name and people automaticaly think there better cause of the past.

Now the JL W7's are great subs but then again for the money you pay for them you can get better subs. The JL's are just very expensive for what you get these days, waste if you ask me. Be smart, go with the IDQ's and you'll thank me later.

This box was built to ***** to handle the power so I coated the entire inside with deadner, screwed and glued to hell and back. weighs like 150 pounds though with the subs in it. I can't move it alone which sucks for gutting your truck.

The other end of the spectrum. The simple set up. I really like it for what it is. Provides some nice low end. Not to take anything away from the other awesome set ups, but this is pretty much all I need.

Here is my setup, 3 JL 10W6's powered by a 800 w Orion amp under the seat which i don't have pictures of..

And the amp you see on the back wall powers my MBQuarts.

screw the Q logic box and go custom, that way you get get whatever you want. Mine is just a simple box, but they can get real tricky and make it look almost factory!

Meatbag,

If you don't mind me asking...where did you get your setup done at? I'm not too far from Houston and am looking for a quality shop to do a system for me. Your setup is by far the one I like the best...Thanks

The bed is cut. the hole is about the same size as the black grill on the inside of the cab. I saves a lot of room on the inside, but obviously you loose a little bed space. I went with three JL tens because the box for tonneau takes up the upper part of the bed and didn't want the speaker box to extend too far out. When I change the tonneau I will probably go with a different design for the box.
