Socal dynowarning...
Ok, where to start...
basicly I just spent 2 hours at a dyno in san diego for no reason but to waste money and time...
I went to the Dyno Shop. They have 4 dynos there and you would think that they would know what they were doing woth 4 dynos, right? Nope. First off the guy at the desk asked my what to run the truck at and what RPM to stop at and all sorts of things that I don't know, so I told him to run it in 3rd gear and WOT up to the factory red line. Sounded right to me, is that wrong? Well long story short the numbers came back (after I paid mind you) and I was told that my truck put a whole 322hp and 456tq on the first run and 326hp and 407tq on the second run...with a/f's of 10:1 on the first run and 12:1 on the second run. Now I find that hard to believe since I have a 6# lower, CAI and Predator tune from Sal I'm so confused...so long story short, please stay away from the dyno shop, they have no clue what they are doing, nor do they know what they are talking about...they guy tried to explain the fact that I just dyno'd 401/560 2 weeks ago and lost 80hp and 110tq to the fact that auto's loose 11-12% in the drivetrain. And is it even possible to have an A/f jump arond like that?
On a side note, I did see the thread about a socal tuner, and Swanson and Socal diablo were suggested...I've decided that next time I dyno I'm gnna make the drive and go up to a tuner, so if you gys cold give me some info, like who has tunes from these guys? And how did you like them?
TIA

echo5oscar...I've gone to JBA for my my lat 2 dyno's...and honestly if I had gone to them for this tune I probably wouldn't have had this reaction...but I think that I will save the money to drive up to Swanson and tune there...
for all you other guys, if you don't mind my asking, how long, or how much did it take to do your tune? I
ll bw driviing from san diego with limited funds, so miney is (unfortunately) an issue...

A friend drove up to get his L tuned by Danny. He was there almost all day. He had trouble tuning it, Danny put all his time and effort to try to get it right. Later on my friend found out he had a bad injector, so that was the reason Danny couldnt tune it right. What Im trying to say is that he gives good service, and will try his best to help you out.
