I think Rob someday is going to come up with something so off the wall that will work that he will never have another money problem ever. Rob you are still my hero . Keep up the great work what would this board be without you.

wanna see a picture ?, hehehehehe) and squirt ice cold Freon all up in the manifold, S/C, IC, etc...... just a nice slow stream for a while (cooling off everything from the inside out) ???

Is that a totally crazy idea ?
And I just so happen to sell cylinders of Freon at work too

Hey thats a good Idea Rob!!! I have been trying for years to figure out a way to use the cold (40-50F) suction side vapors of the A/C system piped through a heat exchange device in the intake air. Whether possible or not, the BTU balance at 70 mph on a 95F day would me much akin to the ice bag on the plenum on a hot race afternoon. We are both thinking like an intercooler

Hey use compressed CO2. There is this guy I know from the Tampa area that just did this to his truck this weekend. He has it wired in so that it activates at 70% throttle and shoots compressed CO2 into his intake and into his heat exchanger. Supposedly drops your temps by 30 degrees.

Hey Geez(Phil) get on this and let this guy in on what you put on your truck this weekend.

He sprays CO2 while drivimg CO2 does not burn you would be putting the combustion prosses out not good has got to hurt performance. I know I use it to put out fires has worked great for 14 years.

It is set up so that it cools the front of the heat exchanger. It also blows into the air fliter so that it cools the air going into the intake( not blowing straight into the intake). So the only thing that it will be doing is keeping the air going into the intake at a cooler temp. I have heard of this set up on other cars before but have never seen it, until this weekend that is. It comes as a kit if you can believe that. I hope he gets online soon so he can explain it better than I can.

Or if afchad reads this maybe Phil told you what he had installed and you can explain it bettre than I can
