JL traction bar ?

Has anyone cut the bottom part of the front bracket off there JL traction bars? It sticks down pretty far on my truck, and is the first thing to drag. I have to be extra careful going in and out of my driveway, or it will drag everytime.

I haven't heard of anyone doing this, but I think it would lose stuctural strength. The material used isn't really that thick and I would think after a while I think you would see problems. Just my 2 cents.

JLP Bars

My L is so low in rear my bars drug on flat ground. Took plasma cutter and cut off bottom on bracket. Still close but better. Hasn't hurt a thing. When mounting bolt is tight I don't think the bar knows it is missing. Ed

did you install it backwards?

A few people put the front bracket on backwards and it sits considerably lower than if it were the right way.

Having it on backwards doesn't effect a thing, performance wise.
