600/700 club

We SoCalLoc.com guys had a meeting Saturday and I met a dude running a ported upper plenium, ported blower, MAC CAI, a 70 shot, 4lb lower and tune by Danny Swanson....he made 580-590/710 on the dyno.

....he had the dyno sheets to prove it.

WOW

Does not seem he will be running long at that power level, but who knows.

That seems awfully strong to me. In fact, I don't think I could accept that as truth. Something fishy is going on. Maybe somewhere between 460 and 490 hp sounds more like it. The torque is about 100 ft/lbs. too much as well. IMO

We thought the same thing, but the dyno numbers don't lie. I'll try to find out who the guy is and ask if he'll post the dyno sheets.

I didnt get to see the sheet, I got there about 1:30 or so and missed all the bench racing in the parking lot

I talked to him too and last time I was at carls bad he ran a string off 12.10's on juice. he told me at the meeting he got an 11.90 the next week. Thats gotta be worth something at carlsbad

He was qouting some huge numbers at carsbad too I thought maybe I had just confused the trq with hp but I guess not.

Edit: p.s. speedjunky your truck is freaking awsome in real life

Highly doubt he's making 590 RWHP if he only runs 11.90's

Dont be too quick to say nay... We dont know what kind of tire he was running, weight of the truck, etc, etc.. Dont even know what MPH he was running...

That track he ran it is complete trash...

with 620rwhp my truck only ran 11.2 @ ~121 there.... with a low 1.6x 60'...

He was probably running some small slicks and stock front wheels/tires, full weight, etc..... its possible he only ran 11.90's with that much power at that track..

Im sure those were SAE numbers, too.. Swanson corrects using SAE..
