Talking Newbie from Canada

Well I just traded in my slightly modded '00 Sierra for my first '01 lightning, and so far I love it!!!

I just have a few question:

Is there anyone else from the Ontario Canada area on here?

I have been reading through a lot of the threads looking for info on what my first mods should be.. but most of the info is related too '99 and '00.

I am leanin towards filter kit (ram air) if available, chip, pully.

anyone have any suggestions on what I should use. And is there an isuue with the '01 combineing a chip and lower pull resulting in over boost pressure (superchager over RPM)>

Thanks

welcome,

no there is no problem with the 01 combining a chip and pulley unless the pulley resembles a dinner plate.

get ya a 4# pulley and a chip or microtuner and a (FTVB for the transmission) and have fun with your fast truck

Congrats and welcome from a fellow Ontario member. Lots of great information on the board here.
And as Red 92 said, filter, chip, pulley and valve body would be a great start with mods.
Check out the Supporting Vendors section for all your modification wants and needs.

Enjoy your new ride.

Welcome and congrats on your new ride. It's a love/hate relationship with the Lightning. You love the power and speed and you hate it because you will get to the point where you will spend every last nickle you have to make it faster. It's almost as bad as a girlfriend/wife!
