AGSF-12C vs. AWSF

Just got back from the Dyno and made 384 RWHP and 494 RWTQ (SAE) with an A/F ratio of 12. Guess I had expected a bit more , but my tuner said it was due to my plugs and gap.
Currently I'm running NGK TR6@.048. He told me to get some Motorcraft AGSF-12C@0.35 and I would get close to the 400/500.

So I searched the forum and found some info that the AGSF is for the post November 2002 heads with 8 threads, and the AWSF is for the 4 threads heads. Is that correct or can I use either one for my 4 threads head?

Your NGK TR-6's are fine just gap them closer like 38 your gapped to wide and could actualy be blowing out the spark.
If you set them to 38 I'm sure you will be able to tell the dif. not sure on the HP gains but the plug will perform better.

That's what I thought. What should it be?

It would be unfair to disclose the name of my (local) tuner as he's only had one shot at it so far. He told me to get a new air intake as the current was a bottleneck with it's 80mm neck. I'll work with him a little more since I got unlimited reburns from him

I think thats what tuning is all about, instead of bashing the guy right away. Good attitude. As long as he's keeping your a/f safe and your timing reasonable....let him work it up slowly until your making good power.

On a side note...my personal opinion is...you got too much pulley! At least get a good aftermarket heat exchanger to help keep that sucker cool!

Never heard of such a thing as to much pulley

I know, I know, I'm pushing the envelope when using the L as a daily driver, but once on a #8 there's no turning back (until I blow a plug)

JeffsLightning, what numbers would you have estimated from the mods?

You should be about 420 hp and over 500 TQ. TR6 is fine just change gap to 35 to stop blow out. What type of chip are you using, and what is the temp there??????

It was 10am and the temp was around 80. The chip is the new red single position SCT 4 bank chip from Superchips and the tune will be checked further on the next Dyno day.

Any hints on the thread count on the AGSF and AWSF type plugs, respectively?

Like Suavy said the TR6's are fine, just gap them at .038

I run the TR6's and I have over 630RWHP and I know guys with more HP running them too.
