My dyno with the stock block and KB

I have a stock block and an efan, psp cold air, tr-6's and 15.5#'s on the KB. It was way hot in the dyno bay. Iat1 was reading 113 and iat2 got up to about 145 after the 3rd pull. Since dyno clock was running couldnt afford to sit there and let it cool down.

I'd say that looks GREAT for the amount of boost you're running, and the outdoor temps for that day.

Get it tuned a bit more, and head back on a crisp, cool day to see even better #s!

Thanks. My tuner said before it gets too cool outside I should think about at least a maf, and probably some injectors. Since he couldn't get the air/fuel down at redline. I will definately be hitting up the dyno again on a cooler day, you know like 85. haha

Your stock 42lb injectors can handle more fuel with 255pumps. We maxed mine out at 496/562 on a safe tune. 12.1 a/f, 14 degrees timing, 5200 shift point all on 93 octane. I am pushing 16lbs boost, but I have dynatech longtubes and highflow cats.

Your tune is everything, did he give you a dyno sheet demonstrating RPM's rather than speed? And why the variations in a/f (maybe because it is based on speed?). The only reason I ask is my a/f levels and follows a smooth line once I am out of the gate.

Great power, congrats!

D-Day

Did I miss something? I can't see any dyno sheet...I'm very interested because I just got my new KB and am in process of installing the dynatech longtubes and high flow cats along with all the other goodies...heh heh heh. All on a stock block. I have the trans out right now installing a PI 2800RPM converter before I do the FTVB and 4x4 pan change. What kind of HP/T number should I see? Thanks for all the great info here guys!

We just printed that sheet out real quick at the end and meant to show rpm instead. He couldn't get that dip out in the air/fuel and said he was going to talk to someone at sct.

wmj shoot me an email www.slctk@verizon.net with your # and I'll give you a call since your local maybe I'll come by and check you out. I take it you won't be ready by fun ford.

Good! That's the way that it should be done. Dyno pulls on a fully warmed up engine are more representative of the real world and more scientifically accurate and repeatable.

Looks like a smart, conservative setup you have. I will be gunning for something very similar.

2B,
I'll not be ready for this weekend... But I'll get to check out some awesome rides there anyway! I keep my truck up in Gloucester county in my shop and have been working tons of OT so my time to work on the truck has been very limited...I'll drop you some email with my number...
