Arrow I.C.ee Chiller?

Ran into the website while surfing... This system looks like a "SuperCooler" varient for our trucks

An excerpt from the below listed website:

"The ICee chiller uses your vehicles existing air condition system to chill the liquid that circulates through your liquid to air intercooler. " (Decolabs.com)

Home Page to the site...
http://www.decolabs.com/index.php

Direct link to the Lightning specific system:

I don't know if this company in particular has been brought up for discussion before, but if not here it is

This ICee Chiller kit has me interested! Anybody heard of these guys or have dealt with them?

I posted this on another thread, but supposedly Brian (originally from Apten) has developed a similar system for considerably less

Where it's at right now... who knows

I have a cooler installed that I custom made. I had to relocate the battery to the bed, in order to use the battery spot for the cooler box. Basically its a ranger heater core in an aluminum box that you pack with ice, and you re-route the intercooler lines to run through the cooler. This is very effective and I have rigged a switch in the cab to turn on the intercooler pump on when the engine is off (good for cooling the intercooler in the pits before racing, also eliminates the need for an electric fan on the heat exchange). The cooler seems to be consistant on droppint the IAT2 temp (after intercooler before combustion) 20 - 25 degrees. A noticable diference.

Sorry let me clarify, The cooler I made does not use your AC freon, Im referring to an "ice box" you pack with ice. The decolabs is interesting info though, seems like alot of modifying and pretty expensive.

do a search on ICEE CHILLER. I made a post about 6 months ago about the same product. Guy said the kit was a grand. I forget why it was shot down for use on our trucks but it wont work on ours.

Interesting gentlemen!

I like the idea of the SuperCooler styled technology for our trucks and saw this as an opportunity. The cost for the ICee Chiller kit specific for our trucks as listed on decolabs.com:

IC Chiller Kit for 99-03 F-150 Lightning
$925.00

Not bad for a system to replicate what the SuperCooler mechanism is suppose to do for the Gen 3's.

But, will it work, and more so has anyone on the board used this item?

Your right. This gent here is trying to sell his. Looks like he blew his engine and he asking for half of what it is worth. Looks like it's missing a hose but I wouldn't think it would be to hard to get another one.
