I'm not sure about the exhaust, but if you want more info on these beasts, these guys in FLA. built them, they specialize in L's & Harley's and they did the build up for these.

So is that a 4 valve Lightning motor or Cobra motor ?

Why are the videos in such a weird format ? Its like they are wide screen or something.

THe trucks sound good but its just 2 burnouts. A 300 hp truck could make the same video ...

I don't think a 300hp truck that weighs 5000lbs could burn tires the length of the street not much less a stock L with 380hp. What do you think?

A three hundred horsepower truck might be able to burn his tires like that...

But it would never sound as good as that Lightning did

If I'm not mistaken a regular burnout is when the truck either has a linelock on or just holding the breaks with one foot and mashing the gas with the other while spinning the tires. These trucks from the get go are not even trying to do that , they are constantly in a forward motion trying to get a grip the length of the run, which I think torque really plays a big part in this. If you had 300HP in a Ford Ranger then the results might be the same. If our trucks only made 300hp I don't think the video would be that dramatic, you might hear a little wheel spin and then hook up. Am I the only one with this opinion?

He is braking torquing it to spin the tires, and then rolling out.

If you brake torque it and then roll out any truck can do that, we did burnouts like that in my freinds 97 f150 all the time.

That motor in the photo gallery looks like a 4v lightning motor, but there are covers on the "critical" areas where you would have to make it work, so i'm guessing it's just a display model. It's looks like its in the Metco Booth at a Fun Ford / NMRA event anyway.

BTW Bert you need to learn how to use the quote button. It works like this.

Hey Matias you're right , I never did learn how to use the Quote button, thanks for opening my eyes to that.

BTW do you think it's necessary to brake torque a 650 HP truck I don't think so but maybe I'm wrong, anyways this is my first Quote button trial, here goes.
