At 3K RPM truck falls flat on its face and farts???

Long story short...

Last week I hit a large dog, busted up the front of the truck pretty bad. Mostly cosmetic, only other problem was the heat exchanger. Ordered LFP's new one, got it today. NOTE that the truck hasn't moved from since I hit the dog, because the HE was leaking.

Got everything hooked up (Install was a breeze, thanks again Mark), went to take her for a test spin, and any hard acceleration the truck falls flat on it's face and it sounds like it is "farting" out the exhaust. If you ease into it and it gets past 3000 RPM, same thing, no power and exhaust sounds like a** (literally!)

BTW, intercooler resevoir is still churning like it should, proper fluid amount after two around the block trips, etc.

WHAT AM I MISSING??? HELP ME PLEASE!!!

hmm

only coolant get up into the engine bay--short out a coil pack???

If you have a cold air intake could have damaged the maf???

I would say check the small stuff. MAF could cause that. Vaccuum line off?? Coil pack??

Okay, not the fuel filter or condensation in the tank.

Truck runs like crap, but idles and revs to the moon in neutral and is fine. If you put any load over half throttle, it goes to ****...

HELP

90mm MAF
NGK-TR6's gapped at .036
Predator tuned by RWTD
Magnaflow catback
Monster Box
FTVB
2800 stall billet converter

unplug the MAF and see what happens

it's possible that you may have broken or damaged the fuel pump resistor.

it is a ceramic thingy located next to the intercooler electric pump.

I'd give that a quick check just to make sure it isn't damaged especially since it is in the same location that the accident damage occured.

good luck.

later,
chris

Did you ever get this resolved?

Almost sounds like the torque reduction thing.
