Thanks! I'm registering there as we speak!

I have read a lot about these trucks and was told there's a good amount of aftermarket support for them. The previous owner put a cold air kit and some stereo stuff in this truck, but not much else. It still has one year of warranty left but I am itching to mod it more!

I was told replacing the lower pulley may void my warranty. Is that true for changing the upper as well? A guy here in town has a Lightning and has an upper pulley he says he can swap out in a matter of minutes and you don't need a chip or anything. I've been thinking about going with one of these to up the boost and just swapping the stock one back on when I make trips to my dealership. Does that sound like a good idea?

Depends on the dealer. Some are mod friendly, some not. They can actually void(or try to) your warranty for the cold air kit. As far as the upper pulley goes, it's pressed on and you don't want to take it off and on, you will eventually damage the snout of the blower. There are "quick change" upper pulley kits but they don't look "stock". It's all up to you, the saying goes" you wanna play, you gotta pay".. The Mod bug bites hard .just my $.02.......JR

Welcome ! Good luck with it. You may want to drive and evaluate it awhile before you go mod crazy; that way you can take it in for any necessary repairs first.

I will probably wait and mod it bit by bit as time passes. I'm pretty satisfied with my truck in its current condition but there's always more performance to be had! I've been reading up on mods for a while and I am considering the following:

4 lb. pulley
chip or Predator or SCT 9100 flasher
FTVB
colder range spark plugs (Densos or NGKs?)

I think I would be done for a while after that. I saw some dynographs and people were getting into the 400 rwhp range with those mods? That would be enough for me!

If someone could recommend me brands, which tuner they've had the best experiences with, etc. I would be much obliged!

Before this turns into a possible "tuner bash" try these out for size and make your own decisions, All the tuners here are good, it's up to you to talk to them and pick one.....JR
