Ford Engine Plant Tour (windsor)

HI!... Well as some of you know I have been working hard on a public tour to go through the FORD ENGINE PLANT here in WINDSOR. This is where the 4.6/5.4/5.4 LIGHTNING/HD/6.8 TRITON engines are built, from scratch. This tour has been in the works now for over 3 months. Everything is ready to go for JULY 31ST (Saturday). Starting time is still being approved but will most likely be at 9:00A.M. We need at least 35 people to attend to this tour or it will be cancelled. Please post here if you want to come. I need this info like NOW! Thanks.

PLEASE DO NOT MOVE THIS THREAD!!!!!

I'm getting no responces in the approved thread location. Since the LIGHTNING engine is built at this plant, it does concern LIGHTNING owners. Thanks.

Good luck on the event, you shouldn't see any L engines rolling down the line(s), the Lightning has been out of production since May'04.

you can't take pix at any ford plant

at the ford plants that pix are taken, they are taken by a ford approved photographer and are released after ford's approval

good luck

Wanna bet?
They let us take pictures at the plant tour we took at LightningFest last year.

All we had to do was get permission from the worker to take their pic (if there was a worker in the picture).

Neal, I work at Romeo Engine and would love to see the plant!

Are you still building Lightning engines? I heard the last 04 went off the line last month?

I heard a rumor that we here at Romeo may be getting the Gen 3 motor?

Clonetech,

It is against company policy to even have a camera in the plant with out proper otherization!

I'm sure people have before but for the most part it is not allowed.
