Question Difference between 02 and 01 Lightning?

Please excuse my ignorance, but does anybody know what the differences between these 2 year models are besides the better rear window trim and the door handle keypad?

I know they use a much better coating on the Rotors in 02,
than they did in 01.

Not sure of anything else except the talk we sometimes here
of 02 having weaker Rods ??? We still never got any positive proof on it, and I've been stretching mine for 2-1/2 years now without one popping out yet

pocket under steering wheel came back (was gone in '01)
the "oh-*****" handles changed a little
the over head handle on passenger side also left durnig the '02 model year.
double sun visor setup changed back to single in '02
locking lug nuts became standard (usually in a bag in the glove box)

as well as
rear window trim changed
keypad added

I wanted the "pocket under steering wheel"
The 02 I originally test drove (or should I say death ride)
had it, but my 02 didn't.

Got dam did the Dealership yell at me for leaving rubber all over a customers truck I took that sucker on the parkway and did a few WOT Blast, then stopped dead on the service road TWICE and did some MAJOR POWER BRAKES. And yes they let me take it out "BY MYSELF", found out later it was already sold and thats when the Mgr started yelling for leaving rubber all over it, FRUCK HIM.

Hey maybe one of you bought it

I'm pretty sure he meant the double setup where you can swing one visor to the door and have a platic one for the windsheild... so I guess you can say the 01 had four... two per side.

No each side still had their own visor. Its just not a double visor on each side. Think of it as a bigger visor that block more area. Kinda hard to explain.

you mean like the ones that extend with a plastic piece? I think I know what you mean by having "4" visors....but I have never seen it in an L before..... I dont have the "pocket" under my wheel either...my 99 xlt did....but I was happy to have an overhead console this time around.

the 2001's had the double visor set up.

You could fold down the normal visor and swing it towards the door, and there is another slightly smaller visor that your able to fold down in front of you still.

Has anyone else noticed that the headliner is different in '03's? There's a hump in each rear corner. This hump isn't there on '01. Is anything back there?

01 vs. 02

My 02 is much faster than my 01 was.
The new True Blue baby vs. the same old Red as my 99 !
