Ran my truck for the first time.

Last night I decided to head up to the track to run a few times and came home kind of dissapointed. My truck is stock other than a Dynomax muffler.

I ran three times with a best time of 14.334 @ 97.22 mph 60 foot was 2.235.

I burned out for about 3 seconds. I gave it enough gas with the brakes on to bring up the back-end a little bit and then rolled into the gas on the last yellow, it hopped a good bit, and then hooked. Should I have let some air out of the tires? Is this time about right for my truck or should I be in the high 13's?

Leave at idle next time. it may help your 60 ft. i pulled 1.9's at 3 different tracks when mine was stock. drop your 60ft and you'll be in the 13's.

Not Bad at all Fun Ford,
CONGRATS

If I may give my opinion,
YES LET AIR OUT, try @ 25PSI

OD OFF

DO A FAIRLY LONG "LOW RPM" BURNOUT (@3K)
(Don't listen to people, IT HELPS A LOT ON F-1's)

DONT POWER BRAKE OR PRELOAD "AT ALL" when leaving the line

Low Air Pressure, soft F-1's, leave form an idle, AND PUNCH IT

This Flashes the Convertor, and if done right, YOU WILL NOT SPIN ONE BIT, and will get a 1.9 60ft on those F-1's.
This is thee only way I have EVER launched mine, my worst ever 60ft on F-1's is a 2.0, (and that was only once), 99.8% were low 1.9's, and I even have 1.8's on them.

Get the 2.2 to a 1.9, and you'll take 1/2 a sec off the ET

Have fun, thats all that matters............

hey,

where are you located at in Georgia? and at what track did you run?

As far as the times, THEY AIN'T BAD FOR THE CONDITIONS! For anyone who doens't live in the south, it's extremly hot down here and humid as crap. Wait till september and november comes and you'll see half a second drop on your time.

13.67 @ 100 at Moroso West Palm Beach, Florida in May.
Bone stock w/1100 miles on the clock. 60 ft times were in the 2.0's.

FunFord:

Yep...it is hot and humid here, almost like a swamp in the air...you can almost ring the moisture out of your shirt...when it turns cold you will see a
significant improvement in your trucks
performance.
