NorCal Dyno Day

We don't have anybody in NorCal worth a dam (now that Byron has all but retired) who can tune our trucks, especially using the new SCT Technology.

I am going to try to set something up using the Dyno at Mustang Ranch in Santa Clara (they can handle a 139" wheelbase) and one of the best tuners, Sal from PSP.

Sal can tune using both Diablo and the new SCT stuff and if you've read his recent posts, it sounds like he prefers the SCT.

At this point, I have only spoken to Sal, I'm waiting for a call back from Joe at MR but I estimate the cost for ten participants will shake out between $200 and $250 per hour (plus any hardware you need or want).

Most trucks will typically take one hour. If you compare this to the cost for a mail order tune, the Dyno, back for the reburn then back to the Dyno again and possibly yet another round, the price is spot on. The best part is you'll almost certainly wind up with a better tune than you would ever get via mail.

The soonest this will probably all come together will be early September (the kids will be back in school too), so lets hear from those of you that are interested. I think you should also post your preference for SCT or Diablo.

In addition to everybody getting the best tune, it'll be a helluva fine way to spend a Saturday.

I'll post more info as it developes over the next few days.

I'd plan on attending. I have a Predator. I grew up in San Jose, so Santa Clara's right next door. It would be awesome to have one of the big three here in CA.

I'm in if it's not between Sept. 2nd and Sept. 7th since I'll be out of town. I have an SCT flasher. I've been waiting for someone to set something like this up, and Sal is my first choice!

It's looking good, I've got a list of 11 "interested" guys so far. If this keeps up, we may have to make it more than one day.

It will most likely be Sal. Somebody else suggested I try to get the guy responsible for it all, Jerry Wroblewski of SCT.
