2001 mufflers
Hey everyone, my dad just bought a cherry 2001L with all the bolt ons, very nice and quick.. The problem is the exhaust, the muffler looks like a flowmaster, it has very nice tips as well, but man that thing is to loud..It is driving him crazy. I have read that Magnaflow is nice and not crazy loud, any suggestions??

it might have aftermarket cats on it (hi flo cats).

My solution for the sound problem would be that its not loud enough, therefore i would cut out the muffler and run straight pipe. Then it might be loud enough.

Any pics?

Magnaflow would be a good bet, but it still may have high flow cats, look at the cats first and see.

I couldn't agree more with your father!!!!!

BASSANI IS THE ANSWER

Not the cheapest, just the best IMHO

You could prolly sell your noise makers.

I hate getting old....

I had flowmasters first and they are waaaay to loud, especially with a passenger.

I then put on Magnaflows and have been very happy with them. I through on corvett tips too and it looks nice.

They make a great sound when you get up on it, but at low speeds, you won't be getting a vibration headache.

Also, with the Flowmasters, I got what I would relate to a "fart" sound when it shifted hard. With the Magnaflows, it's a clean shift.

I am always messing around with the tips so that's why I also went with Magnaflow instead of Bassani, etc. I wouldn't want to mess those nice tips they come with up!

Good luck.
