Got my a$$ handed to me by a....
Mercedes SL600 V-10 twin turbo. Rolled from about 20-120MPH and he pulled probably 7 car (truck) lengths on me. The kid was about 20 yrs old, and before he told me it was his mother's car, I asked what his dad does for a living. Well, (she) is in real estate investment. Not surprised since the real estate market is on fire. I asked if the car was like $100k, and he said it is $135k. It's rated at 496 Horsepower. It's completely unmodified. He has not run it at the track, but I assured him it would go at least 110 in the 1/4 mile.
Well, should I feel bad? I kinda do, despite the V-10, two hair dryers and ten-fold price tag. My truck ain't slow, and I have already done plenty to it in the way of mods.

I am personally just glad that you, #1 actually raced the kid...rather than just coming on here like oh should I have raced?
Run what you brung, I will race anyone even if I know I will lose its exciting.
And #2 that you state that you lost, not oh well he was ahead of me and I didnt know we were racing. Everyone who knows about the SL600 knows unless you are heavily modified you will lose.

These new Benzs are monsters. The AMG 55s(E, S ,SL, and CL class) ,which are 5.5 V8 blown, make 500hp at the fly and 520tq. They run mid to low 12's but the 600's, which are 5.5 V12 turbo, run high 11's at 120mph. And the new 65's, 6.0 V12 turbo, with over 620hp and 740tq should be even more insane, especially on the freeway. And all these come with big 8 piston brakes upfront and sport suspension. Ive been looking into the Benzs since Im trying to convince my sister to get a E55.

Depends on what year it was. 2004 Mercedes SL600 is a monster. There's a good review on it from Car and Driver:
"From a standing start, the Mercedes SL600 can hurl its 4501-pound bulk to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds. Does that sound like a very brief interval? Clue: yes... Let's check the next notch on the elapsed-time yardstick. The 911 GT2 covered the quarter-mile in 12 seconds flat, the Viper in 12.1, the GT3 and Stradale in 12.3 and 12.4, respectively. The SL600 did it in 11.9."
"Zero to 60 mph: 3.6 sec
Zero to 100 mph: .8.6 sec
Zero to 120 mph: .11.9 sec
Street start, 5-60 mph: 4.5 sec
Standing 1/4-mile: 11.9 sec @ 120 mph
Top speed (governor limited): 155 mph
Braking, 70-0 mph: 178 ft
Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.88 g
EPA fuel economy, city driving: 13 mpg
C/D-observed fuel economy: 14 mpg"

On a straight line that thing would be really hard to beat, plus it has traction control so it will hook up much faster.
