First time at strip

I finally made it to the drag strip yesterday. I have an 03 that I got last year in June. It has 7800 miles on it and is pure stock.
I made 6 runs with 27psi in stock F-1s and overdrive off.

Run 1 (Left it in drive)
60ft 2.07
330 5.85
1/8 8.94 @79.38mph
1/4 13.92 @98.51

Run 2 (Still in drive)
2.075
5.846
8.93 @79.34
13.91 @98.69

Run 3 (Tried manual shifting and blew 2nd)
2.04
6.07
9.34 @77.05
14.40 @97.41

Run 4 (Back to leaving it in drive)
1.99
5.77
8.83 @79.78
13.79 @98.81

Run 5 (Tried shifting again)
1.99
5.89
9.02 @78.79
14.03 @98.01

Run 6 (Left it in drive again)
2.03
5.82
8.89 @79.81
13.86 @98.65

I was very happy to run 13s but somewhat disappointed not to hit 100mph. There was a head wind so maybe without it I would have picked up the 1 or 2 mph.

THATS A GREAT STOCK SHOWING slvrz06

Very consistant too, you can't beat leaving it in Drive,
SO LEAVE IT IN DRIVE, hehehehe

Not bad 60ft's for F-1's either

Try dropping the tire pressure to 24#. I had better luck at that pressure.

It was at Milan dragway. We had a cold front come in early friday morning so the weather was real nice last night. About 70 degrees and low humidity. Now I want to get an Air box and see what the difference will be with just that mod alone. Probably will have to go in similar weather conditions to get a accurate
gauge on the performance increase from the box alone.

Hmmmm . . . you should probably be able to a little bit better even in stock trim. I`d say 13.2 in the 1/4

Thumbs up U Did Fine

Like Rob said, let the trans do the shifting. You did OK, and with a little work you'll do even better, nice job. John H

Hard to do in cold weather, impossible in warm. Not realistic at all.. Above 70 degrees, nothing better than 13.6-13.7 is realistic.
