my times suck...

went to the track last night and ran a best of an 8.5369 @ 80.76 w/ a 60 ft of 1.9196. I ran four times and all my 60fts were good 1.9's. It was 84-85 degrees out and very humid at 90%. We just had a little rain earlier so it was really sticky out, I hope that was the main reason I ran so crappy. I ran with a half tank, full weight and a speaker box. I also have an open air filter, do you think it would be better to have one like the JLP one that is is enclosed a little. My SC chip is also just a basic file tune, maybe I need to get that puppy programed for my mods. Because with my mods (in sig) I ran like crap... In feb I was hitting 84mph with low 8.3's so the weather has to be affecting me. With my mods shouldn't I be able to get in the 8.1's...sorry this got long.

CONGRATS ND4SPD,

don't sweat it, heat absolutelyl KILLS ET in a L,
I'd say you left a 1/2 sec (based on 1/4 ET) on the table
due to Heat and Humidity

As much as it kills me, you won't see me make one pass in July or Aug, it's actually a waste of time as far as I'm concerned.
Don't get me wrong, FUN, but clearly not going to be your better ET's

On a cooler day, your def in the 12's

ND4SPD,

My times are just like yours. I haven't been able to get below 8.5 since July. I was running 8.2-8.3 this winter with a best 8.16 after taking out the speaker box. I wonder if we could get a more aggressive tune during the summer. I noticed my tune that had perfect A/F during the winter is now max rich during the summer.

I think 1.9 is good with f-1s. I was cutting 1.8 with DR, but here lately I can barely cut a 1.99.

I really need to see what my A/F is, it's hard with no dyno here. My truck had a S/C flip chip in it when I bought it and it came from JDM, I called them and gave them the code on the back and they said that is just a basic file tune, so I wonder if that could be affecting me, the tune. I see others with programers and such running low 8's with same set up, even high 7's and that is were I want to be.
