Anyone w/Roush or Hotchkis leafs do any towing?

If so, how does the truck handle with the load? Anything needed like airbags or helper leaf(s)?

thinking about towing the mustang and was curious if it was possible to do with the roush kit I have.

One of the guys I auto X with has a 2002 L with the Roush kit on it. He drives to the event with 200 cones in the back and his 03 Roush Stage 3 Mustang on a car trailer.

I know he has been to a couple Open track events as well towing 6-7 hours.

He said it tows great.

Jerry towed Jay's Mach 1 to MSR in February. He didn't seem to have a problem. I think his only concern was elevated tranny temps - but nothing dangerous. I think people get confused when they hear that the Roush kit halves the payload capacity of the truck. When I talked to Roush engineering, they said that this 1/2 payload thing is based on a standard F150 - not the Lightning. So the real payload capacity is 1/2 of whatever a standard truck's is.

Mach is going on a trailer, not in the bed

Payload & Towing capacities two different ratings.
1999-2002 Payload is around 800lbs stock
2003-2004 Payload is near 1,350lbs stock
1999-2004 Max Trailer Weight=5,000 lbs stock

I'm just trying to find out beforehand if the bed/rear is going to be dragging on the ground since I have the roush leafs and what's needed to help this or should I avoid all together.

You should be concerned with the tongue weight. If the Mach is pretty well centered over the axles, you should have no problems.
