The new quad cab version is supposed to be able to tow ~7500 #. It's an auto. I don't think Dodge has released any performance numbers but you've got to figure a quad cab will have trouble keeping up.

The single cab is a pig, the quad cab's got to be a whale. There's no way it'll perform nearly as well as the single cab. It'll end up being the Silverado SS of the Dodge line.

LOL That's about right ...

I have a few friends in the Viper owners group, and they
are all pretty regular guys ... And they LOVE fast cars / trucks.

They beech about how much parts costs for the Viper all the time
though, and I imagine the SRT-10 guys will find that out soon enough.

the srt--10 isn't rated to tow anything, but has anyone actually heard anything negative about it? I have a lurking suspicion it'll just take it and laugh at you begging for more.

I think it is the suspension and tranny that are the hold up. Many of the SRT-10s have been grenading trannies under load, so I could imagine what towing a load would do. Dodge says it is not recommended, they don't say it wont. Dodge just did not set the truck up to tow. The engine will take it, I'm sure, but the tranny prolly won't take it for too long.
