Loud Exhaust

Well, the last few days I have done nothing but read posts from all of the usual forums concerning exhausts for my L. I have almost decided on the JDM Silverbullet Catback, but want to ask a few questions that my search did not answer:

I want it loud without having to change anything else for now since my truck is completely stock (No chip, pulley, etc.) Will this unit be loud without changing cats, mid pipes, etc? Is it loud on startup or just when I get on the throttle?

What is the difference in the REM unit other than the REM unit being all stainless and slightly more expensive? Is the fact that the JDM unit is not all stainless an issue or concern?

I'd really like to hear from others with this unit, while reading the old posts they claimed that it was very loud, but I could not determine if this was due to the installation of headers, free flow cats, etc.

Thanks,

I had just the catback before adding headers and hi-flo cats; and, it was loud enough to elicit comments. You won't have to worry about it not being loud enough.

I just put the Silver Bullet on my truck last week, and it is not only loud, but has a really deep agressive tone to it.

Thanks for the responses. I've seen a lot of posts where people were upset with their choice in exhausts and wanted to be certain before I went any further. I haven't heard anything negative on the Silver Bullets except a few that thought they were too loud, so I am set. I'll be placing my order as soon as I get ahold of JDM.

Thanks,

Spyder

Yep I just received ther "last" non stainless silver bullet set today. I had the magnapac (silverbullet) on my stang and they were sweet, sounded good and did not drone at speed

I have the JDM cat back on my 01 its loud but does not drone at a cruise like some. However I, thought all were supposed to be all stainless. Guess that explains the heavy rust on all but the polished muffler cans! Artie

If it's too loud you can do what I did. Dynamat the entire cab and foam fill all cracks and crevices! It made a world of difference in my L with a Magnaflow!
