John, I personally think it would look pretty good. The red against the Sonic Blue, something about it, I don't know. I am sure someone wouldn't mind swapping for a few minutes to take some photos. Any takers>??? Would only take 5 minutes. -Mat-

I think it looks pretty good.... the 99 tails look better with the reverse lense in the middle....but you need three bulbs for that. I have my stock tails if you ever decide to do it....they are like the set pictured above... I only changed mine out to match the newer head lamps... but Im still not crazy about the newer tail lenses even 2 years later.

SVT 150, I had a 00 silver and loved the red taillights. Something about the new clear ones I just can't get used to, and like you said something about the red on the blue.

Konig, Did you have to change out any bulbs or do anything to the wiring to go from the 00's to the 01's+? I guess I like the 00's better because I already had one, and it's what I am used to.

I was also thinking about putting clear 00 marker lights up front, as I don't care for the 01's + with the yellow line at the bottom. Just my opinion guys and gals so don't get upset if I said I don't like something that is on your truck.

Ohhhh... this coming from a gauge *****...

I wish I did love them, for the $ I spent on them anyhow...I wouldnt mind a set like your 99 has...but the reverse lense being at the top looks odd to me on the 2000s.... mostly because my old xlt truck had them in the middle like yours I guess.


John: No changes, 2000-04 all use 2 bulbs...everything matches up. The 99s used 3 bulbs... which means they can still use the newer lenses and just take one bulb out.....but I dont know what a 99 lense would look like with only 2 bulbs instead of 3...
