Painting lower pulley...

I want to paint my single piece lower JLP pulley. How should I do this?

I figured...

1. Tape off all belt contact surfaces.
2. scotch brite the surface
3. 3 or 4 coats of hi temp black paint
4. Make sure all belt contact surfaces are as they were before painting.

Sound good? The reason is obvious. Sneaky mods are better mods.

Use a quality engine paint or you could even powder coat the pullet for added durability.

You need a primer made for aluminum or the paint will peel off in a heartbeat.
