Ron's a good Buddy, an X co-worker, and true hot rodder.
He just finished a multi year restore on his Ford Ranchero, recently sold it, (1957 I think, maybe a 59?) he also has a pair of 55 Ford's, one of them takes First Place basically each and everytime he shows it, I've showed pic's before, some of you I'm sure have scene it at Bald Hill. He's also got a few parts cars,
a Moded Dodge Turbo Diesel, and a couple of other Family Cars.
But this one here I WOULD LOVE TO OWN MYSELF, it's a beauty...
I think we would look good cruising together, Old Power and Beauty, and New Power and Beauty WOO HOO.....

He just called (wanted to make sure I got the pictures) hehehe...
He ended up trading one of his 55 Fords straight up for it, not this one, (this is the 1st place pretty much everytime winner)
He bought the 2nd one a while ago off e-bay but was not too happy with it since it wasn't as mint as his pride and joy, me I'd rather have a 55 or 57 Chevy (been there done that) but the one he kept above is truly in amazing shape. Some like the older Fords, I happen to like the older Chevy's.
Anyways he tells me the 49 Chevy has a complete Camaro Front Chassis, it was welded on form the fire wall foward. He said the guy told him it was a 350/375 with what he says is quite a serious cam, Turbo 400, 12 Bolt Posi, Air Conditioning, bla bla bla. Unfortunatly he's into old Fords, and not Chevy or Chevy performance motors so he really has no clue what he actually has except he said it flys, and really idles terrible, heheheheh.
He went on to say the guy told him it has the larger heads too.
I'll get over there and take a look soon, watch it turn out to be a 327/365 SPHE Motor with 202 Fuely Heads on it
Been there done that too, with a roller cam or any solid cam, WOW is that the Motor to have, can you say 8500 RPM Power Shifts, WOO HOO.........
It's got a few bugs to work out, today was very hot here in NY and he said the Batt won't hold out between the AC, Electric Fans and hot temps, he ended up needing a jump, said it does the Ruu Ruu Ruu and then wont start without a jump.
SOB prob has 11-1/2 to 1 compression
